Notarial apprenticeship
In accordance with the legal requirements for practising as an Italian notary, students of the single-cycle Master's degree programme in Law can carry out the first six months of their apprenticeship (out of the required 18) during the last programme year.
The minimum time commitment is eight hours a week over at least two days, for a total of at least 200 hours over six months.

To be eligible for the apprenticeship, students must have passed all exams included in their fourth programme year, plus the Commercial Law, Civil Law and Civil Procedural Law exams. Students will have to produce a self-certification declaring they have passed these exams, and attach it to their application for entry into the register of apprentices.
Eligible students have to contact their local notarial council and express their interest in starting the apprenticeship. The whole process and paperwork will be managed by the notarial council in question.
Once the apprenticeship is set up, students have to send an email to [email protected] specifying their name, surname and matriculation number, start and end dates of the apprenticeship, and name of the notary's office where they will do the apprenticeship.
At the end of the apprenticeship, the notary will have to produce a final certificate attesting to the student's completion of the apprenticeship, and send it both to the University ([email protected]), and to the local notarial council.
