The programme provides students with the required skills in geography and in other areas of the humanities and natural sciences, through a global and synthetic study approach. Graduates also have the ability to use the analytical and interpretive tools of Geography and Human Sciences for the interpretation, representation and communication of the construction and evolution of environments, territories, landscapes, cultures and societies. In particular, students will acquire specific skills in the analysis of the territory and landscape-environmental systems, in tourism dynamics, in landscape and environment protection and enhancement, and in development cooperation. These skills are achieved through the study of the main methodological, disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches, and of specialized literature, as well as through knowledge of formation processes and methods of analysis, implementation and use of the various types of cartographic sources. In order to acquire these skills, they will attend lectures, seminars with scholars, experts, and key representatives of culture and institutions. They will also use educational multimedia (cartographic and photographic materials, documentaries, GIS data, etc.), attend workshops, including field workshops, and carry out exercises on specific topics.
Graduates may work in public and private institutions requiring professionals with the specific skills provided by the degree programme, as well as in: representation and analysis of the territory, identification and enhancement of resources and the related economic and political phenomena, promotion of cultural and natural tourism, intercultural management. There are also employment opportunities in specialized publishing.
For the above-mentioned purposes, the degree programme includes training activities providing operational skills, also with reference to cultural and environmental services.

Employment statistics (Almalaurea)
Per essere ammessi al Corso di Laurea in "Scienze Umane dell'Ambiente, del Territorio e del Paesaggio" occorre possedere un diploma di scuola secondaria superiore o altro titolo conseguito all'estero, riconosciuto idoneo, e un'adeguata preparazione iniziale. Per frequentare proficuamente il Corso di Laurea si richiede un'adeguata preparazione di base costituita dalla conoscenza relativa alla geografia generale e regionale dell'Italia, dei Paesi europei ed extra-europei, nonché dei principali processi di interazione tra società e ambiente. Sono inoltre richieste buone capacità logiche ed espressive, nonché di comprensione e di elaborazione di testi scritti.
Chi intende iscriversi al corso di laurea in Scienze Umane dell'Ambiente, del Territorio e del Paesaggio dovrà obbligatoriamente, prima di formalizzare l'iscrizione, sostenere un test di valutazione che verifichi la sua preparazione iniziale.

Obblighi formativi aggiuntivi e modalità per il recupero OFA
Gli studenti possono immatricolarsi a prescindere dall'esito del test.
Agli studenti che abbiano conseguito un punteggio complessivo inferiore a 25/50 nelle prime tre sezioni e che abbiano conseguito un punteggio inferiore a 15/30 nella sezione "Comprensione del testo saranno assegnati obblighi formativi aggiuntivi (OFA), volti a colmare le lacune. Gli OFA dovranno essere colmati entro il primo anno di corso mediante attività di recupero appositamente previste dall'Ateneo. Le modalità e gli esiti del mancato assolvimento degli OFA saranno indicate sul sito del corso di laurea.

The Study Programme promotes student mobility abroad, especially through Erasmus. We also have numerous Erasmus students from European universities.
Students interested in Erasmus mobility can attend dedicated meetings with the contact person for the Study Programme, and ask specific questions regarding the call for applications, available locations and exams to be taken abroad.
