Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Management
The BA in Management Studies and Economics is a challenging programme enabling students to combine their studies of management with a particular focus on economic issues. This three-year degree course focuses on understanding economic phenomena from all their different perspectives so that the graduates will obtain the necessary knowledge required by he national and global job market.
The undergraduate degree programme explores issues that are crucial for the world we live in: how the economy and organisations work, and how resources are allocated and coordinated to achieve the objectives that are set. Economics and management are ideal intellectual partners, each one being particularly suitable to strengthen and cross-fertilise the other. Economics provides the broader understanding of economic activity within which all organisations work; management, in turn, analyses the character and goals of that functioning. The first two years include courses in economics, management, math, law and statistics so as to provide students with a solid foundation for the third year. Depending on the profession they would like to enter, students can then choose, in the third year, specialised courses to further increase their knowledge in the areas of marketing, finance and economics.
Competencies expected from Bachelors in Economics and Management

· Ability to summarize and communicate the knowledge acquired and the observations made
· Ability to integrate management decisions into their economic context (mixed training)

Requisiti e conoscenze richieste per l'accesso
Per essere ammessi al corso di laurea in Economia e Management occorre possedere un diploma di scuola secondaria superiore o altro titolo conseguito all'estero e riconosciuto idoneo.
Al fine di garantire livelli formativi di qualità in rapporto alla disponibilità di risorse, ai sensi dell'art. 2 della legge 264/1999, il corso di laurea è ad accesso programmato con un numero di studenti pari a 250. A questo numero va aggiunto il contingente riservato a studenti extra-comunitari con residenza all estero.
Per l'ammissione al corso si richiede il possesso di conoscenze e competenze adeguate per poter seguire proficuamente il corso di studi. Saranno in ogni caso verificate le conoscenze e competenze pregresse in ambito logico, matematico, linguistico.
Modalità di verifica delle conoscenze e della preparazione personale
Per accedere al corso è obbligatorio sostenere il TOLC-E, il Test Online organizzato dal CISIA, (Consorzio Interuniversitario Sistemi Integrati per l'Accesso), volto ad accertare le conoscenze di base relative all'area linguistico-espressiva e alle capacità logiche e matematiche. Le conoscenze necessarie per accedere al Corso di Laurea e su cui verterà il test d'ingresso riguardano i temi elencati nel syllabus riportato al seguente link: https://www.cisiaonline.it/area-tematica-tolc-economia/struttura-della-prova-e-syllabus/
Devono effettuare il test e posizionarsi in graduatoria anche gli studenti che chiedono il trasferimento da altri corsi di laurea o che sono già in possesso di un titolo di laurea e ne richiedono il riconoscimento (parziale o totale).
Saranno attivate due selezioni per l'ammissione al corso: la prima selezione (primaverile) si terrà per 150 posti, la seconda selezione (estiva) per i restanti 100 ed eventuali posti residui non coperti nella selezione primaverile.
La selezione primaverile è riservata solo ai diplomandi e si terrà da remoto (TOLC@CASA). La modalità di erogazione del test TOLC-E per la selezione estiva saranno definite in relazione all'evolversi dell'emergenza sanitaria e rese note sul portale d'Ateneo al link:

Obblighi formativi aggiuntivi e modalità per il recupero OFA
Ai candidati ammessi con un punteggio complessivo (somma non pesata dei punteggi) inferiore a 5 nelle sezioni di matematica e di logica del TOLC-E verranno assegnati degli obblighi formativi aggiuntivi nell'area di logica e matematica, da colmare entro il primo anno. Qualora lo studente non assolva gli obblighi entro il predetto termine, il successivo anno accademico non potrà sostenere gli esami degli anni successivi al primo.
Le modalità di soddisfazione di questi obblighi formativi aggiuntivi sono specificate sul portale di Ateneo nell'area Studiare della Facoltà di Scienze politiche, economiche e sociali.
OFA lingua inglese B1
Per poter sostenere l'esame di lingua inglese previsto dal piano di studio è richiesta la conoscenza della lingua inglese di livello B1 del Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento per le lingue (QCER). Tale livello può essere attestato nei seguenti modi:
- tramite l'invio di una certificazione linguistica conseguita non oltre i 3 anni antecedenti la data di presentazione della stessa, di livello B1 o superiore (per la lista delle certificazioni linguistiche riconosciute dall'Ateneo si rimanda al sito: https://www.unimi.it/it/studiare/competenze-linguistiche/placement-test-test-di-ingresso-e-corsi-di-inglese). La certificazione deve essere caricata al momento dell'immatricolazione;
- tramite Placement test, erogato da SLAM esclusivamente durante il I anno, da ottobre a dicembre. In caso di non superamento del test, sarà necessario seguire i corsi erogati da SLAM.
Il Placement test è obbligatorio per tutti gli studenti che non sono in possesso di una certificazione valida.
Coloro che non sosterranno il Placement Test entro dicembre oppure non supereranno il test finale del corso entro 6 tentativi, dovranno conseguire una certificazione a pagamento entro l'annualità in cui è previsto l'esame di lingua.

Microeconomics is mandatory for Public Finance.
