Learning objectives
The course aims to study issues related to data privacy and data protection. To this purpose, the course will investigate the problem of ensuring privacy of sensitive or confidential information in data publication and release and the problem of ensuring data protection in emerging scenarios, where data are often stored, managed, and processed by external - not fully trusted - parties.
Expected learning outcomes
The student will know the main concepts related to privacy and data protection in different scenarios. The student will have knowledge of different issues, solutions, existing technologies as well as open problems. The student will develop critical thinking and sensibility on the problem of data protection so to be able to analyze the different privacy issues in different scenarios where the student may operate in the future and evaluate possible solutions to them.
