Learning objectives
- Know the working models of production systems, with particular reference to the health system
- Understand and evaluate the functioning of the organization of a healthcare company according to specific objectives
- Recognize and evaluate laws and constraints of an economic and business nature, in order to develop interventions aimed at providing an effective contribution by the various participants in the organization
- Acquire and know how to use skills aimed at promoting and supporting innovation, creativity and organizational change
- Understand the psychological aspects of both individual and group behavior in the context of the group and the organization, with particular reference to the management of power and leadership
- To manage and solve organizational problems based on the integrated assessment of the technical, social, individual and institutional components, and according to the objectives to be achieved in terms of service to users and the role of the healthcare structure within the community
- Know the normative related to the prevention and protection of health and safety in the workplace.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the students will be able to:
- Know the normative references related to the prevention and protection of health and safety in the workplace and understand the activities related to prevention and the protection of health and safety in the workplace in a healthcare company
- Know the classification of health personnel, plan and optimize its management, including shift work and the detection of absence control; understand how to apply service orders and planning and control aspects;
-know the ethical and deontological aspects of the health sector professions
- Interpret and deepen the study of social, economic and political phenomena in which the regulation and collective action exercised by professional groups are relevant.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam will consist of different modules depending on the courses: a written test will be proposed consisting of multiple-choice questions with the addition of some open questions. In addition, it will be possible, at the discretion of the teacher, to carry out an integrative oral test. For one of the occupational medicine modules the carrying out of an individual work (project work) is proposed.

- Health surveillance of workers under DL 81/08_ regulatory and management aspects. Alcohol and Narcotics Regulations and Labor. Judgment of Suitability/Inability - Profitable and safe work placement - Disability management.
- Biohazard in DL 81/08: health surveillance - judgment of fitness - risk to third parties
- Legislation on Maternity and Paternity Protection and The Management Procedure for the Pregnant Worker

- Evolution of the work environment and changes in the workforce; Basic concepts of stress and its physiology (models:
allostatic load; transactional); Theories of occupational stress (Conservation of resources; effort-reward; demands-autonomy; demands-resources; person-environment adaptation)
- Classic psychosocial risk factors; How psychosocial risk factors impact health; Workplace mistreatment and its impact on health; Psychosocial risk factors in practice
- How to intervene: the prevention of psychosocial factors; How to intervene: noticing the individual's distress and how to approach it; How to intervene: The individual case and practical examples
Teaching methods
Teaching will be carried out through frontal lessons, with concrete examples and discussion of case studies.
