Learning objectives
The course is devoted to identify the conceptual scenario of pedagogy in its actual form and main characteristics on the educational role of relationship. Learning activities and educational styles will be also deepened. Methodological and technical aspects of pedagogical and educational intervention, with particular emphasis on teaching/learning methodologies in movement and sport, will be faced in school and outside school, together with other professionals working in the same environment but with different technical skills.
Expected learning outcomes
The student will achieve pedagogical knowledge and skills to plan different paths in school and extra school activities regarding movement and sport. He/she will learn evaluation and analytical skills on theory and praxis of education. He/she will be able to organize interdisciplinary interventions on educational science in order to interact efficiently with practitioners of different age, gender, social condition, both individually or in group to sustain the development and specific learning.

Course syllabus
The course will be structured in three parts:
The first, institutional, will focus on the epistemological framework of Pedagogy as science; we will problematize concepts as education and learning; authors, approaches and currents useful for understanding contemporary pedagogy will be addressed.
Second part will focus on Embodied Pedagogy, the lens through which knowledge and educational practices will be read.
Third part: protagonists and approaches related to Embodied Pedagogy; documentations of experiences, testimonies and reports that will relate personal perception and knowledge and embodied practices.There will be a monographic, crossing part, on Outdoor Education.
Prerequisites for admission
No requisites are expected.
Teaching methods
The course entails lectures as well as active didactic methodologies (exercises, discussions, video) in order to allow students to become actively involved in exploring the course topic and in finding their own point of view. The course will be also enriched by the participation of different experts coming from different fields of Embodied Pedagogy.

Assessment methods and Criteria
1) Written test with open-ended questions
The questions concern:
-topics analyzed during the course;
-re-elaboration of the exercises implemented during the course;
-books in references.

During the exam will be evaluated:
-level of knowledge about the theories and methodologies (knowledge);
-ability to exemplify concepts (understanding);
-capacity for use and application (applying knowledge and understanding);
-adequacy of language.

2) Personal portfolio of pedagogical exercises: more specific guidelines will be done during the course.
A particular focus will be dedicated to assess students' critical reflection as well as their attitude to connect different contents to their learning career.
