Course syllabus
The course will first deal (Part A) with that part of Daniele Del Giudice's narrative and nonfiction work that revolves around the themes of flight and exploration: "Staccando l'ombra da terra," "Orizzonte mobile," and some essays from "In questa luce" and "Del narrare." Then, we will address some authors of whom Del Giudice writes as an essayist or to whom he refers or alludes in his fiction, or who write (or draw) in turn about flight or exploration (with a look at children's literature): Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Gabriele D'Annunzio, Franza Kafka, Roald Dahl and Hayao Miyazaki (Part B); and Joseph Conrad, Jonathan Franzen and others (Part C).
