Erasmus Mundus Master Program in Plant Breeding (emPLANT+)
Action: Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree 2020
The emPLANT is an European Master Program in Plant Breeding that has been designed and is organized by a consortium of six European universities from six different countries. The emPLANT aims at providing students interested in Plant Breeding with excellent training in science, management, law, languages and soft skills that are needed in this field by the Seed Industry and Research Institutes.

Objectives:
The emPLANT+ is an Erasmus Mundus Master in Plant Breeding. In 2015 the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and UniLaSalle (LAS), with other partners, decided to establish the European Plant Breeding College (www.epbc.eu) so as to create a knowledge hub in the field of Plant Breeding to further improve the employability of their Master students. The consortium has been developing and adopting innovative teaching methods, initiated a dialogue with the European Seed Industry on Human Resource Policy to train and recruit future plant breeders, developed joined curricula, set up a data base for internships and organised student mobility to immerse students in an international breeding experience.
