Erasmus KA171 outgoing
The mobility programme Erasmus+KA171 gives students the possibility of attending courses and laboratories and of working on their graduate thesis, and it gives teaching staff the opportunity of teaching and research with university partners outside the EU.
Erasmus+KA107 involves non-EU countries having cooperation agreements with the EU. The following instruments are provided by the European Commission or the European Development Fund (EDF): Partnership (PI), European Neighbourhood (ENI), Pre-Accession (IPA) and Development Cooperation (DCI).
For mobility in non-EU countries, the EU assigns a financial contribution to participating universities.

- Tajikistan State Higher Educational Institution
- Avicenna Tajik State Medical University
In past years the university had KA171 agreements with: Kosovo University at Pristina, Serbia University at Novi Sad, Albania Agriculture University at Tirana, Bosnia and Herzegovina University at Bihac, Bosnia and Herzegovina University at Sarajevo.

Erasmus+KA171 mobility students can attend courses and laboratories or work on their thesis for 3-12 months.
The financial support assigned to them is calculated in relation to the duration of the study programme and the distance of the host university from the home university.
Application requirements
Those who wish to apply for Erasmus+ KA171 mobility must be enrolled in a second or higher year of a programme at the University of Milan and have sufficient skill in the teaching language of the host institution. Certain courses may have other requirements established by the academic coordinators.
How to apply
Students should apply by email to the International Relations and Agreements Office: [email protected], with the following documents:

- curriculum vitae
- letter of motivation
- draft Learning Agreement

The applicants selected by the home institution are assessed by the host institution that sends the applicant a letter of acceptance.
Call for applications for KA171 student mobility
Successful applicants receive a grant towards travel and living expenses.
The grant towards travel expenses is calculated as established by the European Commission according to the distance between the home address and the destination:

Students on KA171 mobility receive € 650/month towards living expenses.
The total amount is obtained multiplying the monthly amount (30 days) by the number of months spent abroad. For incomplete months, multiply € 650 by the number of days divided by 30.

The Erasmus+ KA171 programme offers academic staff the possibility of teaching for a period ranging from 5 days to 2 months (excluding days of travel) in a partner university.
Academics must teach at least 8 hours/week during the mobility period.

The application and letter of invitation from the host institution should be lodged at the International relations and agreements office as set out in the call for applications.
Candidates are then chosen by a special commission nominated by the council of the applicant's department.
