Fulfilment of additional learning obligations (OFAs) - SPES courses

Admission to Bachelor's and single-cycle Master's degree programmes is subject to an assessment of the student's educational background. Should the assessment reveal any gaps, the student will be assigned additional learning requirements (OFA), to be met through additional activities such as courses and seminars as set out in the call for applications or on this website.

Below are the OFA remedial procedures for the Faculty of Political, Economic and Social Sciences.

  • Comunicazione e società (CES)

Candidates who are admitted into the programme despite having scored to less than 2.5 points in the Verbal Comprehension section of the TOLC-E test will be assigned additional learning requirements. This means that they will have to attend courses/workshops or read supplementary materials and pass another test within their first year in the programme. If they fail to do so, they will not be allowed to take any second- and/or third-year exams.

  • Economia e management (EMA)

Candidates who are admitted into the programme despite having scored to less than 5 points (overall) in the Logic and Mathematics sections (jointly considered) of the TOLC-E test will be assigned additional learning requirements. This means that they will have to attend courses/workshops or read supplementary materials and pass another test within their first year in the programme. If they fail to do so, they will not be allowed to take any second- and/or third-year exams.

  • Economics: behavior, data and policy

This means that they will have to attend courses/workshops or read supplementary materials and pass another test within their first year in the programme. If they fail to do so, they will not be allowed to take any second- and/or third-year exams.

All candidates who don’t achieve at least 10 points in the Mathematics and Logic sections (jointly considered) are excluded from the session ranking, regardless of the total score achieved.
