Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of short- and long-range wireless and mobile communication technologies. The main objectives include understanding the principles of wireless networks, analyzing communication protocols and network architectures, and exploring the most widely used standards, such as Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and IoT. Various use cases will be analyzed in different fields, highlighting the challenges and opportunities offered by wireless technologies.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will have acquired an in-depth understanding of wireless and mobile communication technologies, both short- and long-range. They will be able to analyze communication protocols and network architectures, with a particular focus on the most widely used standards, taking into account efficiency, security, and quality of service parameters. Finally, the course will foster a critical ability to analyze wireless network solutions with an approach oriented toward innovation and real-world problem-solving.
