N-Depth Chemistry
A.Y. 2025/2026
Learning objectives
The course aims at providing the students with the fundamentals of organic and physical chemistry. In the organic chemistry part, the different classes of organic compounds (name, structure and essential reactivity) will be studied. Connections of organic compounds to environment and society will be highlighted, especially in the field of art and cultural heritage.
In the physical chemistry section, the fundamentals of thermodynamics and kinetic chemistry will be presented with applications to materials and systems of interest in the field of cultural heritage investigation and conservation.
