Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with a comprehensive framework of theoretical and methodological skills necessary to analyze, promote, and manage processes of participation and active citizen engagement. It encourages a critical understanding of the psychosocial dynamics that characterize territorial communities, with particular attention to local knowledge and shared practices. Through an applied approach, the course will explore tools and strategies for enhancing the cultural, social, and environmental assets of communities, with a specific focus on models applicable at neighborhood and urban scales.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to:

1. Analyze and critically interpret the psychosocial dynamics that characterize territorial communities, identifying factors that promote or hinder participation and active engagement.

2. Develop methodological and practical skills to design and manage participatory interventions aimed at enhancing local knowledge and shared practices, with particular attention to neighborhood and urban contexts.

3. Acquire reflective and collaborative skills to facilitate complex co-design processes with communities, aimed at promoting well-being at the local territorial scale.
