Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge of the main instruments to prevent organized crime, both in criminal and administrative law. The program is comprised of two components. In addition to article 416-bis criminal code and participation in that offence, the Criminal Law module examines preventive measures, in particular the anti-Mafia code ones. The Administrative Law module - besides the principles of legality, transparency and impartiality - covers the topics of anti-corruption, the so called "documentazione antimafia" and the dissolution of municipal councils due to organized crime infiltration.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will have an in-depth knowledge of the subjects of the course, having learnt a methodology of legal reasoning suitable to deal with issues regarding the organised crime counter-action, preventive measures and administrative transparency.

Prerequisites for admission
For law students the exams of Istituzioni di diritto privato and of Diritto costituzionale are preparatory.
For law students, the course is reserved for those who have already taken the exam of Diritto penale. It is also preferable to have already taken the exam of Procedura penale and the exam of Diritto amministrativo.
Teaching methods
In addition to the lectures, the course will be enriched with some monothematic seminars, with external guests (judges, lawyers, civil society personalities), organized in collaboration with CROSS - Osservatorio della criminalità organizzata and with PhD Studies on organized crime.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The final exam will consist of an oral interview lasting about 30 minutes and will consistently focus on the various subjects addressed by the Course (criminal law profiles, preventive measures, administrative law). Evaluations will be expressed in thirtieths.
