Learning objectives
To provide a basic knowledge on the topic, so as to promote further in-depth analyses.
Expected learning outcomes
Students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to the reading of cultural and literary texts and to better understand the current scientific debate on the topic. The course will enable students to enhance their ability to use English to discuss selected topics, present their own work to an audience of peers and engage the audience in fruitful debates, use IT technology to support both academic study, research and networking.

Course syllabus
The seminar focuses on the recent efforts in cooperation between the
humanities and the so-called hard sciences, medicine in particular. A widely
shared opinion, nowadays, is that both of them can benefit from a mutual
understanding, especially as far as the patient's care is concerned.
Prerequisites for admission
Students must have at least a B2 level in English, since some texts that will be
tackled are in English. It is also highly advisable to posses a general knowledge
of English literature.
Teaching methods
Lessons will be carried out traditionally and/or eliciting students' contextual
cooperation.

program during the seminar.
Assessment methods and Criteria
Students will be asked to produce a PPT during the seminar. Their active participation in the seminar will also be evaluated.
