Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge about the role, professional profile, skills and areas of the practice of the Physiotherapist, as a potential partner in a multidisciplinary team in the rehabilitation field.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will have to know the professional figure of the Physiotherapist, in order to promote inter-professionalism.

1. The professional profile of the Physiotherapist: content, skills and responsibilities
2. Lombardy Region Guidelines on Rehabilitation Activities
3. Therapeutic exercise and setting
4. Outcome measures in physiotherapy
5. Adapting the person to the environment - adapting the environment to the person:
- architectural barriers and risk of falling in to the elderly and/or disabled person
- aids, orthoses and prostheses
- the choice of aid: criteria and methods
6. Documenting in physiotherapy: the rehabilitation folder
7. Fall in elderly
Prerequisites for admission
With reference to the Didactic Regulations (art.20), To access the third year, it is essential to have achieved at least nine exams of which:
- biological, physiological and morphological sciences
- linguistic, philosophical and socio-pedagogical sciences
- applied speech therapy sciences: preparatory
- Otolaryngological, neurological and rehabilitation sciences, Applied speech and language sciences II
- Neuropsychiatric, pedagogical and psychological sciences
The student must also have passed the 2nd year annual traineeship exam.
About the teaching, no prior knowledge required
Teaching methods
Teaching is provided through face-to-face classroom lessons, scheduled according to a timetable published on the ARIEL website of the course of study.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Learning will be done through a written test with open short-answer questions (DRAB) or multiple-choice quiz questions. The scheduled test is 20 minutes.
The evaluation criteria used will be the ability to list and organize the knowledge acquired as well as their application for the resolution of short questions.
The assessment of the teaching will be expressed through an approved or disapproved assessment. To pass the test, the student must have answered at least 2/3 of the test questions correctly. The results will be published on the Teacher's ARIEL website.
There are no intermediate tests
The Teacher in charge of the teaching provides the final verbalization according to the UNIMI model.
