Learning objectives
The course aims to provide legislation elements for the pharmacist profession, including dispensing of medicinal products, supplements, special foods and compounding of extemporaneous preparations, as well as an overview of the work reality and the economic management of the pharmacy. The course also aims to help the student improve communication skills in the field of pharmaceutical legislation, develop awareness of her/his professional role and analyse the deontological aspects of his own profession. The Galenic Preparation Laboratory aims to provide the student with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for compounding of extemporaneous preparations in a pharmacy laboratory.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will have gained the regulatory knowledge needed to serve as a healthcare professional in the production and distribution of drug products. She/he will be able to describe the ethical rules that guide professional action and the composition and functioning of the professional Order. The student will also acquire basic knowledge for the practical management (normative and economic) of a pharmacy.
