Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge concerning the innovations and optimization of pharmacological therapies, with particular reference to the pediatric and senile age, characterized by extremely different needs. In addition, updated information will be provided about the potential for improvement of already available therapies and drug interactions.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will have to demonstrate that he/she has learned important notions concerning the concept of precision pharmacotherapy, its merits but also its limitations. Furthermore, he/she will have to demonstrate to have understood the pharmacological needs of special populations such as the pediatric and the senile. At the same time, the student must demonstrate that he/she has acquired knowledge concerning the possibility of improving existing drugs and the importance of studying drug interactions in the field of precision medicine.
