Learning objectives
- Indicating the fundamental characteristics of pedagogy and educational relationship.
- Discussing the specificity of the educational relationship with the pre-school and school-age child.
- Arguing the close relationship between educational work and intervention on the child's body, even in his historical evolution.
- Critically analyze the link between educational relationship and care relationship, highlighting the different overlapping areas.
- Indicating the fundamental characteristics of educational research, with particular attention to observational research.
- Knowing the operational tools to interact with diversity, learning to work with and not on particular individual realities.
- Knowing the processes of cultural transmission and interaction, of construction of identity and social bond, with attention to contemporary contexts.
- Knowing the basics of cultural anthropology with reference to the cultural diversity, to the problematic of communication and to the ethnographic method based on the observation and the direct relationship.
- Knowing sociology in general, the fundamental theoretical perspectives, the language of social sciences, the order and the change, the analysis of groups, of science health, of development and of social security.
Expected learning outcomes
- Knowledge and understanding: the lectures allow the students to know the main pedagogical, anthropological and sociological topics and provide the basis for decoding the proper functioning of educational relationship in the specific context of the therapist.
- Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: the students can apply their knowledge in order to analyze human variability.
- Autonomy of judgement: through discussions the students acquire the ability to integrate knowledge and handle complexity, and formulate judgements with incomplete or limited information.
- Ability to communicate: through discussions the students learn to communicate their conclusions clearly.
- Learning skills: lectures, practical activities and discussions provide the students with the learning skills necessary to continue to study in a manner that may be largely autonomous.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam consists of a written test with open questions, the evaluation of an essay and an oral test
The final evaluation, expressed in thirtieths, is and is calculated by applying the weighted average of the marks gained in the tests of the various teaching modules and is published on the Ariel website of the CdS.
