Neurological Sciences 1
A.Y. 2024/2025
Learning objectives
The module allows:
- Provide students with the essential and general elements in the field of neurology, with specific reference to clinical aspects.
- Know the basics of neurological semiotics, in order to be able to differentiate abnormal objective signs from normal signs of the central and peripheral nervous system.
- Know the different laboratory and instrumental methods that can be used for the diagnosis and prognosis of neurological diseases.
- Learn the basic elements of the various techniques of functional investigation of the nervous system.
- Provide students with the basics of clinical electroencephalography, electronurography, electromyography, multimodal evoked potentials (somatic-sensory, acoustic, visual, motor).
- Acquire a basic preparation that allows students to learn the operation and the correct use of filters and amplification.
