Medical and Surgical Emergency
A.Y. 2024/2025
Learning objectives
The main learning objective of the course is to understand the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to the most common medical and surgical emergencies. To achieve this goal, the students will attend the activities of the Emergency Department (both medical and surgical sections) and will attend the presentation and interactive discussion of clinical cases (real or simulated).
Regarding Pain Therapy, the main learning objective of the course is to understand the clinical approach to a patient with pain and to learn the basis of pharmacological and interventional analgesic treatments. This will be achieved through dedicated seminars. In addition, the students will attend the activities of a hospital Pain Clinic.
