Laboratorio - psicologia del lavoro in sanità: aspetti organizzativi e prevenzione del burnout

The laboratory contributes to the purposes of the degree course by providing conceptual and methodological knowledge of the relational and intergroup dynamics that characterise the functioning of healthcare organisations.
Specifically, the laboratory has two learning objectives. First, it aims to raise awareness of the individual, social and organisational conditions that influence the professionals' well-being and the quality of services provided. It will also explore emerging psychosocial risks and how the introduction of digital technologies and telemedicine is changing work processes and psychosocial dynamics. Secondly, it aims to develop skills in designing interventions to prevent burnout and promote organisational well-being in healthcare systems, starting from a critical analysis of the most common approaches currently in use.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:
a) Describe the main psycho-social mechanisms that influence the relationships between individuals, their work and organisation.
b) Explain the factors contributing to promoting satisfaction, work engagement, appropriate performance, or burnout among healthcare and administrative staff in healthcare settings.
c) Apply the acquired knowledge to assess emerging psychosocial risk factors and identify personal and organisational resources that can prevent burnout.
d) Design an action plan with the interventions to improve organisational well-being, knowing the rationale behind their theoretical and methodological choices.
e) Critically evaluating different approaches for burnout prevention.
f) Reflect on the role of psychologists in building healthy working environments.
