ITALY AT THE TEST OF MODERNITY - THE SECOND HALF OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY
Didactic Unit 1 offers an overview of Italian history in the second half of the twentieth century (from the 'reconstruction' to the end of the 1990s), also through the viewing, commentary and analysis of some short films and films.
Educational Unit 2 will propose the analysis of a musical album by the singer-songwriter Fabrizio De André, 'Non all'amore, né al denaro, né al cielo' (1973), to illustrate its main linguistic, stylistic and thematic aspects, also in relation to contemporary Italian events.
Prerequisites for admission
Students must have an excellent knowledge of the Italian language (expected level B2 / C1) and a good awareness of the main characteristics of Italian history and culture.
Teaching methods
Combination of historiographical, sociological and literary investigation. Frontal lessons, participative lessons, and lessons organized by the students.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam consists of an oral interview on the topics of the program, aimed at ascertaining knowledge of the main topics covered. Attending lessons is strongly recommended for better exam preparation. However, the program already includes supplements for students who could not attend.
There are no intermediate tests or exams with partial programs: students must present all the teaching units for the exam, without exception. Students must register through the appropriate links on the University website: only in this case can the exams be regularly recorded.
