Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to allow the student to:
1. Fit into the context of internship, proving availability and interest to proposed experiences
2. See and describe modality of therapeutic treatment made by the operator with attention on context of therapy
3. Develop communication and interaction with met operator ability
4. Be able to calculate physiological diets
5. Be able to take anthropometric measurement

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able to:
1. use specific instrument (composition tables, weight and portion, LARN) use pc and informatics knowledge for nutritional intake calculation
2. investigate food history
3. calculate nutritional intake based on food history
4. describe photographic atlas and prove that have understood
5. calculate nutritional intake based on nutritional diary
6. prepare predisposition of diet
7. give indication for food replacement
8. detect weight of patient
9. detect height of patient
10. detect circumferences of patient
11. perform fold detection
12. calculate BMI and daily energy requirement
13. join to outpatient educational activities
14. join to group educational activities
15. use correctly tools ( balance, statometer, anthropometric meter)
16. use equipment (BIA, calorimetry, plicometer)
17. formulate weekly dietary scheme for communities or groups

Prerequisites for admission
It is necessary knowledge about the courses: Basic biological and morphological sciences, Physiology, Biochemestry, General pathology, immunology and medical genetics, Principles of dietetics and assessment of nutritional status, Microbiology and hygiene

Assessment methods and Criteria
It is expected only one exam a year, during the third official exams session, at the end of the 625 hours of internship. The exam consist of an oral prove, rated in thirtieths, to value knowledge acquired in internship location, based on the course objectives.
