Prerequisites for admission
The student is required to have a basic knowledge in chemistry and is strongly suggested to have also a basic knowledge in mineralogy and petrography. The credits in "Chemistry and laboratory" are mandatory whereas those in Mineralogy and Petrography are suggested.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Learning outcomes are verified with an oral examination consisting in an interview about the program of the course. The interview aims to assess the knowledge and the understanding of the subject and the way of express the acquired concepts in a scientifically correct language. The grade is given out of thirty.
