Prerequisites for admission
Basic chemistry and mathematics at high school level.
Teaching methods
Lectures ( 4.5 CFU) and practical laboratory activities (1.5CFU).
Teaching Resources
Slides of the course.
Suggested books: Masterton, Hurley "Principi e Reazioni" Ed. Piccin.
Petrucci et al., "Chimica generale" Ed. Piccin.
KOTZ et al. "Chimica" Ed. EDISES.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam consists of a written test (lasting 2 hours) with 5 exercises and 1 open question. Each exercise is worth 5 points. The results of the exam will be communicated via SIFA. The correctness of the candidate's language and of the chemical terms will be evaluated. Furthermore, the ability to link the various topics covered in the course will be evaluated. The vote will be out of 30. The test includes all the topics of the course plus those covered in the laboratory. Participation in the laboratory is subject to the frequency of the lesson on safety and laboratory behavior. The lesson material is available online on the Ariel platform. Material useful for the exam are molecular models.
Students with SLD or disability certifications are kindly requested to contact the teacher at least 15 days before the date of the exam session to agree on individual exam requirements. In the email please make sure to add in cc the competent offices: [email protected] (for students with SLD) o [email protected] (for students with disability).
Students enrolled in an exam session and no longer wishing to support it are required to unsubscribe.
Lectures and practical laboratory activities are part of the course.
The exams will take place at the Edolo if the enrolled students will be at least 5; otherwise, they will take place at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, via Celoria 2, Milan. Any additional exam sessions for motivated needs of Out of Courses students can be activated in Milan.
