Learning objectives

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student who attended with proficiency will have gained the skill to analyse real cases applicable also to juridical issues of modern law.

Course syllabus
European Law aims at defining some Roman institutes which represent the roots of some corresponding institutes of modern law. A part of the course will be dedicated to relationship between Roman Law and Common Law.
Prerequisites for admission
Basic knowledge of Institutions of Roman Law.
Teaching methods
The course will be organized as an interactive seminar and will be based on the direct reading of the sources (with translation).

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam will be oral and the mark will be expressed in thirties (and if applicable cum laude). During the exam it will be evaluated also the ability to present in a logical way with the appropriate terminology. Reserved exam for attending students
