Learning objectives
The aim of the course is that the participants understand the fundamentals of law, deontology, social legal medicine and health legislation, in order to acquire critical knowledge in relation to the juridical / deontological framework of the healthcare professional, also in relation to the activities towards the health and judicial authority.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will learn:
- forensic and social medicine in its relations with the juridical and health organization;
- the general issues about criminal and civil law and deontological code;
- judicial and deontological aspects related to individual rights and duties (legal capacity, civil capacity, imputability);
- legal and deontological framework of the profession;
- the forms of medical-legal activity of health interest (medical record, certificate, mandatory health and judicial information flow);
- deontological and juridical aspects that regulate the relationship between the health care provider and the patient (information and consent to health care, professional secrecy);
- the main aspects of criminal, civil, administrative and deontological health professional responsibility.
