Learning objectives
The aim of the Elements of construction and technologies for animal management course is for students to develop knowledge and understanding regarding technologies understood as structures, systems and technologies for the management, well-being and health of companion animals, including the horse
Expected learning outcomes
1. Knowledge and understanding: the student, at the end of the course, will have to demonstrate knowledge of the ability to evaluate structures, systems and technologies aimed at improving the life of pet animals.
2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: the student will have to demonstrate knowledge and useful concepts in order to evaluate the best techniques available for pets and horses.
3. Critical and judgment skills: the student must demonstrate the ability to critically argue the information acquired. Specific exercises, educational trips, information days and group work on the topics covered are aimed in this direction
4. Ability to communicate what has been learned: the student must demonstrate the ability to express himself with scientifically appropriate terminology, in particular with regard to the terminology referring to kennels, catteries, stables, and their most suitable management, with a view to animal welfare. The exercises are intended to stimulate the ability to express oneself correctly and the ability to discuss scientifically with peers.
5. Ability to continue the study independently throughout life: the student must demonstrate the ability to use the knowledge acquired to interpret new environmental techniques applied to the world of pets and horses, with the help of available sources of knowledge and a good mental organization.
