Elements of Chemistry and Physical Chemistry

Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the basics of general chemistry and physical chemistry with the aim of preparing students to face the subsequent basic and characteristic s of the CdS.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the students will know the concepts of chemical element, atom and molecule and they will be able to use the Periodic Table of the Elements. Students will be able to carry out stoichiometric balances and apply the concept of chemical equivalence. Students will be able to manage the use of buffer solutions, solve redox reactions and perform calculations on the energy balance. At the end of the course the students will also be able to perform calculations to establish the reaction rates according to their order and temperature.
