The course aims to provide general knowledge of the populations of pre-Roman Italy, with particular regard of some of them, which will be the subject of more detailed analysis.

"Sannio and the Liri Valley between Orientalizing and Romanization"
Monographic course.
The strong cultural characterization of the Samnite sector and the historical events that have marked its development, the area between southern Lazio and northern Campania, the so-called Culture of the Liri Valley, present aspects of great cultural originality. The impact of Romanization in ancient Italy, the cultural resistance and the partial transformation of the mosaic of the population and its cultural expressions.

Basic knowledge of Etruscology and Greek Archaeology is recommended.
