Learning objectives
Knowledge on insect importance, morphology, anatomy and physiology; insect identification, dynamics of populations and control. Knowledge on various pests for implementing integrated pest management systems.

Recognize insects Orders and morphology of main pest insects. Distinguish between beneficial and pest insects. Know biology and control of pest insects.

General morphology and integument. Head and appendices. Mouthparts. Thorax and appendices. Abdomen and appendices. Muscular and digestive systems. Respiratory system. Nervous systems, Sensillum. Reproductive system, Reproduction. Exocrine and Endocrine glands. Excretory system. Postembryonal development.
Biology of pest insects. Integrated pest management

Basic knowledge of animal cell structure

The student must collect, prepare and identify insects.
Identification of insects is mandatory to continue the exam.
Questions are based on the morphology, physiology, and biology of pest
insects.
