Learning objectives
Practical activities will be implemented to consolidate technical and soft knowledge and skills developed during frontal lectures.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the practical activities, students should be able to: - perform a dermatological examination - perform a dermoscopic examination - perform a histological session - recognize the main features of immunodermatological, pediatric dermatological and sexually transmitted diseases

Clinical approach to skin inspection, examination and care, infectious skin diseases, allergic, inflammatory and reactive skin diseases, tumors of the skin, viral exanthemas, drug induced cutaneous reactions.
Prerequisites for admission
To take the Dermatology exam, students must have already passed all the exams of the first and second year (Fundamentals of Basic Sciences, Cells, Molecules and Genes 1 and 2, Human Body, Functions and Mechanisms of Diseases).
Teaching methods
Practical activities will be used, through simulation or in the ward, to consolidate technical and soft knowledge and skills developed during frontal lectures.
Teaching Resources
The course will provide an e-book containing the full content of the lessons.
Assessment methods and Criteria
Students will be assessed through an oral session in which they will be challenged to apply the concepts acquired during the course on physiological or clinical problems.
The exam is deemed to be passed successfully if the final grade is equal to or higher than 18/30. In the event of a full grade (30/30) honors (lode) may be granted with the consent of all the professors.
Attendance is required to be allowed to take the exam. Unexcused absence is tolerated up to 34% of the course activities. University policy regarding excused illness is followed.
Registration to the exam through SIFA is mandatory.
