Workshop: Communicate the Book and the Paper. Conceiving, Organizing and Communicating an Exhibition.
A.Y. 2022/2023
Learning objectives
Exhibitions are generally the territory reserved for art historians and curators. Books and illustrated paper are, on the other hand, considered 'minor' material and often lack professionals capable of putting them on display as they deserve. The aim of the workshop - closely linked to the theme of publishing - is to bring students closer to the process that starts with the conception of a book exhibition, its articulated organisation and above all its communication, making them participants and aware of the whole process.
Expected learning outcomes
In the light of some significant "live" experiences - which the city of Milan in particular can offer - students will have the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of how exhibitions of illustrated books and papers are organised.

· Detailed theoretical and direct analysis of the project of an exhibition set in Milan during autumn 2022: "Italians. Culture and made in Italy in the Maria Mulas' photo portraits".
· Detailed theoretical and direct analysis of the project of an exhibition set in the province of Milan during autumn 2022: "Pulcini enogastronomici di Alberto Casiraghy".
· Detailed theoretical and direct analysis of the project of an exhibition set in Milan during autumn 2022: "Buby Durini. Journey with Joseph Beuys. Operazione Difesa della Natura. 1972-1985".
