Learning objectives
The workshop aims to illustrate the main techniques and practical experiences of reordering, preserving and digitizing documentary funds, as well as methods of sprading, communication and enhancement of archival cultural heritage.
Expected learning outcomes
Acquisition of knowledge and skills in IT indexing funds, web protocolling and digital tools for researching, consulting and programming access to archives, as well as coding processes for mass storage of funds and superfunds. Acquisition, through the illustration of digitization projects of documentary funds and photographic funds, of knowledge about the standard costs and times of archives dematerialization processes. Learning techniques for the enhancement and communication of archival heritage through cultural and artistic projects, scientific collaborations, institutional and university partnerships, exhibitions and events realized by Cittadella degli Archivi of Milan Municipality in recent years, not neglecting some aspects of fundraising and public-private partnerships and communication through social media.

PART ONE: CONSERVATION OF ARCHIVAL HERITAGE

SECOND PART: ENHANCEMENT OF THE ARCHIVAL HERITAGE
1) institutional collaborations: research on discoveries and study on funds;
2) exhibitions and conferences for dissemination to different audiences;
3) curators, collectors, galleries, trade magazines: the art world system;
4) use of social networks: Facebook and Instagram.
5) Publishing: collaborating on books and documentaries
6) A case study: La Cittadella dell'Arte;
7) enhancement: disclosure, knowledge and ordering of contents, interaction with
the community, archives as a living instiution;
8) urban redevelopment and historical places;
Prerequisites for admission
No other prerequisites are required than those necessary for the degree admission.

Evaluation method: final approval with 3 CFU recognition. Attendance to workshop is mandatory.
