Learning objectives
The laboratory aims at the study of the protection of cultural heritage in international law, both in the dimension of international cultural cooperation, and in the identification of protection regimes established through international conventions. Specific attention will be devoted to UNESCO conventions
Expected learning outcomes
The teaching activity aims to provide students with:
- the ability to identify and define the essential features of the international protection of cultural heritage;
- a sound knowledge of UNESCO activities and activities of the main regional organizations in cultural field;
- the ability to apply the concepts learned in relations to specific case-law and to know how to tailor them in the current situation;
- the ability to express the concepts with argumentative coherence, systematic method and the use of the appropriate language.

Prerequisites for admission
This laboratory is aimed at students with a sound knowledge of international law.
Teaching methods
The first 8 hours of the laboratory will take the form of lectures ex cathedra. The remaining time will take the form of a seminar devoted to the analysis of the different conventional regimes. Students will make presentations, supported by slides, on a topic agreed with the lecturer. The presentation can be delivered in Italian, English or French, at students' choice,

Assessment methods and Criteria
Evaluation of presentations made by students, supported by slides, on a topic agreed with the instructor, subject to verification of compulsory attendance (at least 75% of meetings).
