Learning objectives
- to acquire the theoretical and applicative basis of the different rehabilitation techniques (art therapy, music therapy, theatrical skills, occupational therapy, dance therapy, Pet therapy, psychomotor techniques, audiovisual techniques and photography);
- to acquire the ability to integrate the different rehabilitation techniques into a complex and proper rehabilitation plan;
- to acquire the ability to relate and communicate, effectively and adequately, with the patient and family members;
- to identify, contextualize and respond to the rehabilitative needs of the patient and the community
- to acquire the ability to manage correct rehabilitation programs;
- to acquire the ability to develop a proper operational approach towards the social and health issues of the different communities, acquired also through direct experiences;
- to improve the knowledge of the organizational models of rehabilitation interventions in health facilities;
- to acquire the ability to contribute to the organization of the global rehabilitation intervention through the creation of priorities and through an appropriate use of available resources, delegating to the colleagues their own activities, ensuring a continuative and qualitative approach;
- to acquire an adequate experience in the work organization, recognizing its complex dynamics.

Expected learning outcomes
- to acquire the ability to carry out educational rehabilitative interventions on patients with mental disabilities, creating a specific and proper therapeutic plan within a multidisciplinary team;
- to acquire the ability to develop an interdisciplinary and transcultural mental approach working with other healthcare colleagues, improving the knowledge of the rules and dynamics that characterize the team work;
- to obtain the ability to develop an adequate operational approach about health care of the different communities, acquired also through direct experiences;

Assessment methods and Criteria
Assessment of the learning will take place through a oral /written test, including multiple choice questions.
The evaluation criteria used will be the ability to list and organize the acquired knowledges as well as their application for the resolution of short questions. The evaluation of the teaching will be expressed in 30th and will be the result of the weighted average of the votes acquired in each module of the teaching. The results of the tests will be communicated to the students through online verbalization system of University.

Special Rehabilitation Techniques
Theoretical introduction to the main rehabilitation techniques. Techniques oriented to the recovery of daily skills and practices (I level). Techniques oriented to the recovery of a better emotional relationship with oneself and the other (II level).
Structured interventions in schizophrenia
Model vulnerability stress/pathology and its applications in the treatment of schizophrenia; main models of therapy derived from it; IPT - Integrated psychological treatment, CLT (Home-Work-Leisure), Cognitive Remedy Techniques.

Relaxation exercises: the importance of exercises, how to recognize tension, when to use them. Jacobson Progressive relaxation; Autogenic training, Hypnosis, Clinical cases.

Music therapy: historical and methodological aspects. Models and techniques. Description of the ontogenetic and relational aspects of the sound and rhythmic experience in affective life. Neuro-physiological aspects of acoustic experience in intrauterine life and neonatal life. Methodological and clinical aspects of music therapy settings. Listening music therapy.

Theory and practice of the main methodological assumptions. Clinical applications with psychiatric users

Ppsychomotor techniques
Historical introduction, the theoretical basis of psychomotricity; fundamental elements of psychomotricity Psychomotor therapy comparison between child and adult.
Horse-assisted therapy
Regulatory frame, National guidelines for interventions assisted with animals; roles and responsibilities of the professional figures involved; the foundations and characteristics of the man-to-man relationshipanimal; Horse-assisted therapy, operating and case studies; presentation of clinical cases.
Horticoltural therapy
Introduction to horticoltural therapy and key points analysis. The benefits it can bring in mental disability and differences from other occupational therapies. Methodology: how to do an horticolturaltherapy project.
