Learning objectives
Learning objectives: The course aims to provide students with the bascic specific knowledge related to the disciplinary vocabulary and the theoretical-methodological skills to understand geographical and socio-economic issues of a complex nature.
Expected learning outcomes
Expected learning outcomes : the student will acquire the ability to deal with geo-territorial problems presented in critical, autonomous and proactive terms.

In the event that the health emergency continues, lessons would take place remotely, mainly asynchronously, through Ariel. One lesson a week (generally on a fixed day) would be held synchronously, through Teams.
If the health conditions and the availability of the equipped classrooms allow it, some lessons could take place occasionally in presence, at times to be defined during the semester also on the basis of the availability expressed by the students.
Students will find all the information to access the lessons (links, etc.), any changes to the program and any changes in the reference material (bibliography, etc.) on the Ariel website of the course.
If it is not possible to carry out the exam in the manner provided in the Syllabus, the exam will take place on line with the modality that will be communicated on the Ariel website at the end of the course.

Course syllabus
The course programme consists in the presentation and discussion of the following topics: historical development and the current state of the discipline; variety of Geographies and multiplicity of disciplinary approaches, with a focus on the relations between Geography and Literature.

Teaching methods
Frontal lessons will be the main teaching method. Short videos on geographical topics will also be broadcast during the course.

Assessment methods and Criteria
There will be a single test in the form of a oral question.
No intermediate or pre-appeal tests are planned.
The evaluation parameters will concern the ability to organise knowledge discursively, the ability to reason critically on geographical issues, the quality of the presentation and the competence in use of specialised vocabulary.
The marks are expressed in thirtieths.
