Learning objectives
The activity is part of the practical training. It takes in cattle farms and aims to introduce the student of the 5th year course to the professional reality of the veterinary surgeon who works in the farming field, with specific attention to the clinical-surgical examination of the bovine
Expected learning outcomes
The student will acquire in a direct way manual skills of approach to the patient that are part of the skills necessary to professionally face the management of spontaneous pathology in the considered species.

Teaching methods
In the event of a health emergency involving confinement and impossibility of reaching the farms, the activities will be held on line using the Ms Teams platform.
Bibliography
The reference material will consist of videos relating to the practical activities to be carried out on the farm and tutorials made available through the Ms Teams platform.
Assessment methods and criteria
Learning will be assessed during the course of seminars. Each specific practical competence carried out correctly by the student will be certified by the appropriate logbook by the teacher. The regular frequency of activities and the acquisition of skills will result in an "approved" assessment.

Prerequisites for admission
In order to attend the activity, the student must be enrolled in the 5th year of the course and he must have basic knowledge of subjects of the courses of previous years.
Teaching methods
Practical work carried out on animals of the visited farm. The work will be done by students individually or in groups under the direct guidance of the teacher.

No specific reference material is foreseen. In relation to the activities carried out, references to scientific books or papers on specific cases observed.
