This course introduces students to basic business concepts and processes, and to the major issues involved in the management and administration of organizations. Topics covered include the business system and the business functions of production, management, finance, and human resource management. The course is designed for students with minimal experience in basic business terminology and practices.
The course, also, will emphasize the practical application of accounting and will include the following topics: nature and purpose of accounting; balance sheet; income statement, changes in equity statement, accounting cycle, internal control; specialized journals; accounting for cash, receivables, inventories and payroll liabilities; and accounting principles and concepts.
