Visiting scholars and scientists
Visiting scholars or scientists are suitably qualified -Italian or international- scholars, who are affiliated with foreign universities or research institutes and undertake research activities, collaborative work and scientific exchange at the University of Milan.
During their stay, visiting scholars or scientists shall hold certified training activities for degree programmes or doctoral programmes on occasion, irrespective of the measure of their commitment.
The request for recognition of visiting scholars' activities should be submitted by their host Department or doctoral Board.
The University of Milan, in the framework of the initiatives promoted by the roundtable for "Reception and Integration in the University", as a member of the international network "Scholars at Risk" (SAR) and its Italian division SAR-Italia, issues an annual call for applications for positions of visiting at-risk scholars and/or professors.
This initiative is geared towards foreign scholars and experts who hold refugee status in Italy or in a EU member state or who are entitled to subsidiary protection in Italy or a EU member state or who are seeking asylum or protection in Italy or a EU member state.
For additional information, please consult the Call (see "Documents" box).
