Master Coordinator
The vocational master's programme in Molecular Pathology and Molecular Tumor Board aims to provide a comprehensive theoretical and practical training in molecular pathology and its applications within Molecular Tumor Boards, with special regard to personalised treatment options. Molecular Tumor Boards are a multidisciplinary tool of paramount importance in the current landscape of precision oncology. This is why the programme is particularly geared towards specialists working in precision oncology.

The programme will start in the a.y. 2024/2025 second semester and will comprise 256 hours of teaching (corresponding to 29 CFU, i.e. university credits) on MicrosoftTeams platform, 240 hours of other forms of training (16 CFU) on MicrosoftTeams Platform and 40 hours of e-learning (4 CFU). To complete the programme, students must take a 230-hour internship (9 CFU) divided as follows:
- guided practical training (80 hours) at the Department of Advanced Diagnostics' Molecular pathology laboratory (National Cancer Institute of Milan);
- active participation in the Molecular Tumor Board (150 hours) with presentation of clinical cases (in person and/or remotely on MicrosoftTeams Platform)
The final exam (2 CFU) consists in producing a thesis. A total of 60 CFU are awarded for the programme.
The tuition is euro 5,016.00, insurance premium included.

To be eligible for the programme, applicants must hold a Master's degree in one of the following classes pursuant to Ministerial Decree 270/2004: LM/SNT3 Health Professions for Technical Assistance; LM-6 Biology; LM-8 Industrial Biotechnologies; LM-9 Pharmaceutical, Veterinary and Medical Biotechnologies; LM-13 Pharmacy; LM-41 Medicine.
Career opportunities can be found in public and private healthcare facilities, universities, private molecular biology labs, national and international research centres, as well as in the biotechnological and pharmaceutical industry.
