The Master's programme of the School of Journalism aims to prepare candidates for the state exam for journalists, as well as to offer excellent training to professionals working in the media, with a European and international perspective. More specifically, it will train eclectic professionals capable of working across the board in the media industry, with a strong understanding of the political, social, cultural, economic, scientific and technological settings in which they operate, with an international profile and open to technical-scientific innovation, as well as with strong ethical values and awareness of individual rights. Students will be registered as interns to work as editors for the Master's workshop-newspapers. Once they obtain their two-year internship certificate, they can take the state exam to become journalists.

The internship will take place at the Master's publications under the supervision of the editor-in-chief and with the assistance of journalist tutors. Moreover, participants will undertake an internship in news outlets, TV or radio channels, press agencies, during which they will complete a tutored project and write a final report. The internship period will be two months in the first year and three months in the second.
Applicants may apply for admission if they have a Master's or single-cycle degree pursuant to Ministerial Decree 270/2004 or an equivalent qualification obtained from a foreign university.
This Master's programme offers the following career opportunities: news outlets (newspapers and periodicals), radio, TV, internet, press offices (private sector and institutions).

Differently from what indicated in the call for application, the scholarships to be paid in the form of total exemption from the payment of the registration fee (equal to euro 14,000.00) will be 6 and not 5. The 10 scholarships equal to ?7,000.00 each, to be paid in the form of a partial exemption from the registration fee, remain confirmed.
