Acquisition of basic technical skils regarding the analysis of proteins and lipids in complex matrices (i.e. Plasma, serum, muscle tissue, cell extracts by means of high resolution mass spectrometry. Introduction to labelling techniques and differential analysis, and data interpretation.Set up of the experimental design. Acquisition of basic skills for specific reaction monitoring (SRM) analysis by mass spectrometry for biomarker validation. The couse is aimed at both gradueates in the life sciences sector and graduated in medicine and aims to introduce them to the potentiality of this technologies , now easily accessable trough outsource services, but often not considered due to lack of basic knowledge.
