The course will discuss how to translate a scientific hypothesis into a grant application. The use of genetic approaches to investigate cellular metabolism will be taken as example and strategies to move from literature mining, project design, preliminary data implementation and project exploitation will be commented. Emphasis will be on the analysis and interpretation of data obtained and how to use them for a grant application.
