The prevention and control strategies needed to reduce the risks related to emerging zoonoses have to be innovative and require a multidisciplinary approach, then closer collaborations are needed between veterinarians, physicians, and public health professionals.
This course aims to supply up-to-date epidemiological information on emerging zoonoses and on the surveillance/control methods applying a One Health approach. This latter aspect is a key prerequisite for understanding and managing
the future of global health threats particularly for zoonoses and antimicrobial resistance.
