Non ambient in-situ studies: why?; (SC-XRD) (facts, devices, tools) HT, HP, HT/HT; Calibration of T, calibration of P; Accessibility problems; Equation of State (HP, HT) ; Examples: Thermal expansion (anthophyllite, grossite, cancrinite, zoisite); Compressibility (hibonite, antigorite); Phase transitions (clinopyroxenes HT & HP, Lawsonite HT & HP, grossite HP) ; Expansion of Landau (spontaneous strain, order parameter, coupling elastic energy and order parameters)
Base knowledge of X-ray diffraction theory and mineralogy.
