Logic and Epistemology of the Social Sciences aims at providing graduate students with the conceptual and theoretical tools to master foundational and methodological issues in the social sciences. In particular, students are expected to develop a capacity for analyzing, discussing, and applying key concepts and methods in the ontology and epistemology of social sciences, as well as to acquire a basic knowledge of issues in the cognitive sciences that are relevant to social research.
The course is reserved to students of the NASP PhD programs in Political Studies, Economic Sociology and Labour Studies, and Sociology and Methodology of Social Research.
