To gain interdisciplinary knowledge about concepts of "identities", "bodies" and "artifacts" starting from cognitive and affective Neuroscience and Aesthetics. To apply these conceptual tools to describe and discuss a problem under investigation: the role of the mask in the pandemic context and how its use modifies the Sense of Self. The course will consist of four sections: 1) archive of visual references from media and popular culture, 2) declinations of the Sense of Self from a Neuroscientific point of view, 3) theories about Agency in contemporary Aesthetic and 4) presentation of research methods to investigate how the masking shapes the Sense of Self
