Aims: To develop a basic vocabulary and understanding of statistical concepts. To understand the principal statistical reference od scientific publications in order to pinpoint the most relevant results and evaluate also with statistical tools the conclusions made from other researchers. To start thinking about PhD project also from a statistical point of view in order to best organize the experimental trial and data collection and understand the numbers will be generated during PhD. Ultimately understanding the basic concepts of statistics to handle data confidently and properly.
